Wes Meadows /Brad Reynolds won the Jack Wingate Thursday Night Big Fish tournament Thursday evening with a 6.8 pounder, 2nd place went to Greg / Jake Jeter with a 6.5 and 3rd place went to Al Carter and his grandson with a 5.98. They drew 23 boats which allowed them to pay 3 places.

The Valdosta Bass Busters fished 12 boats on Saterday out of Wingate’s. Earl Roberson won it with 15.4 lbs.

The Tallahassee Bass Anglers fished 9 boats. Fred Jones had Big Fish of 6.81 lbs. Good crowd and of course, Dallas Johnson scored a perfect score, as usual, he had a “0”. John Vickers came in late but he had 22.14 lbs. of fine Seminole Bass.

Andrew Adams fished with Guide, Mike Prindle, on a White and Red Frog over the Lilie Pads in 2 feet of water.

Alan Lamb and son (very young) took some nice Catfish and that reminds me of the many fathers now days that are enjoying taken their kids fishen, boat ridden and huntin in season, it’s just great.

My hat is off to Mrs. Odum who lives just off of Bethel Rd. for last Friday putten in 27 years at “Shaw Industries” most of it at nite.

There is this past Thursday one of the biggest Willow Fly hatches out on the lake, most everything will eat a Willow Fly.

Crickets are the main thing to put meat in your cooler. There is Bream still on beds and will take Crickets. One boat had located 3 beds Friday and came back Saterday the cooler full. 300 Crickets aught to do it.

Brad Reynolds with the winning catch, a 6.8 lbs. Bass, in the Jack Wingate Thursday Night Big Fish Tournament held out of Wingate’s Lunker Lodge and hosted by the Hydrilla Gnats Bass Club on Thursday night.
