Seminole Ramlin's

March 2, 2008

A Tee Shirt worth tellin’ about, on the front was “What’s wrong with our youth today?”  Then on the back “Not enough _ _ _ beating by the parents!”  This showing a father laying a belt on a boy’s behind, nuff sed.

We note that at the Bassmaster Classic last week, we saw Fishen Lures sellin for $100 each, and a line of folks there buying them.  I say this, if he throwed one of them hi-dollar baits down here in Seminole while the Jack fish is out, he’s most likely gonna lose it 1st cast.

Charlie Hartley of Ohio speaking of his 1st Classic day that a pontoon boat full of Hooter girls “distracted” him from his fishen.

We also note that the state of SC got their tax money discounted from the checks, before they were given out.

In a recent survey that B.A.S.S. sent out, of those that ansured the survey, 90% sed they had never caught a Bass over 2.7 oz.  I was shocked at that.

We were over at the Sneads Landing for the A.B.A. Boater – Co-Angler Tournement.  The results on the angler side went like this, Craig Reynolds, of Bonifay, FL with a 5 fish limit had 19.56 and his Big Fish was 5.23 and earned him 20 points in the A.B.A. Series.  Ryan Worthington of Middleberg, FL with a  5 fish limit had 18.8 and his Big Fish was 9.51, which was the Big Fish of the tournement.  That earned him 199 points in the A.B.A. Series.  Third place went to David Johnson with a 5 fish limit at 17.16, his Big Fish was 4.24, that got him 198 points.

On the Co-Angler side, Tom Reeves of Land-O-Lakes, FL with 3 fish had 7.74 and his Big Fish was 3.66.  Second place was Warren Chancey, Jr. from Folkston, GA with 3 fish and 5.76.  Of the fish caught, only one died, the rest swam away to bite again.

The Bainbridge Bass Club had a club tournament on Lake Seminole on Saturday.  Richard Predmore won with 14.77 lbs., Jason Callaway came in 2nd with 14.51 lbs. and Don Hensley came in 3rd with 11.01 lbs.  Kevin Swisher had the Big Fish with a 5. 67 pounder.

Richard Predmore of Recovery, GA with 14.77 pounds of Bass which won 1st Place in the Bainbridge Bass Club’s Tournament on Saturday

Jason Callaway with 14.51 pounds which won 2nd Place

Don Hensley with 11.01 pounds which won 3rd Place
