“I thought I was good at doing some things, til I found out that I wasn’t good at doing anything.”

The Baker County Bassmaster’s Weekend totals were like this, 3rd place went to Steve Holman and John Orberg with 20.11 lbs. of Bass, 2nd place went to Jimmy Nabb and Loren Brungardt with 21. 9 lbs. of Bass and 1st place went to Payton and Justin Bennet with 24.84 lbs. and a Big Fish at 4.25 lbs.

The Big Bend Bass Club of Tallahassee was taken by Jerry Baer and Leon Roy with 14.6 lbs. Mr. Baer had Big Fish at 6.22 lbs. The Tallahassee Bass Anglers tournament was won with only 6.45 lbs. of fish.

Bo Hancock, Robert Lay, Paul Bradley and David Hart of Milton, FL had a big stringer of Bass.

We have learned that a Willow Fly Hatch took place and Russ Rodgers whipped up on them with his Fly Rod and any day next week he has invited me to go with him. Looks good to me!

We would like to let folks know that the Spring Creek Lions Club Annual Shellcracker Tournament will be held Saturday, April 26th, this coming and there should be plenny folks there cause there is plenny Shellcrackers there in the lake waiting to be caught.

We have had lots of limits of Bream and Shellcrackers this week and the Shellcrackers were mostly taken on Crickets. You expect Bream to hit Crickets but not Shellcrackers.

2 – 9 ½ lbs. Bass was taken this week on Plastic and Frogs, they came from under the big lily pads.

It’s getting time to fish for Catfish with Catalpa Worms. They seem to like the smell of a scent like sweet soap, white raisins soaked and the catalpa. We’ll see soon who has them first.

I git plum axzasperated when the phone sez press one for English but when they come on speaken French and says press one, you know you are in deep trouble.

Our own Gale Goodman, one of the owners of Wingate’s, actually took some time and went fishing today. She said she ain’t had a day off in a month, so when Paul Tyre invited her to go, she jist up and went. She caught her very first Bass, a 3 ½ pounder and was so excited she’s decided to go fishen more often.
